I believe that the health of the country, the education of our children, and the protection of our people should not be left up to free market capitalism and For-Profit businesses. People have the right to access affordable health insurance, and without a government option to choose from the insurance companies are free to run the prices up as high as they like. Which is what they have been doing for years now. Having a more affordable health insurance option through the government would certainly help hedge the rising cost of “for profit” insurance company premiums, and provide an economical option for the public. If you look at the education system, you can see examples of how this would work. State universities around the country provide a great education and are a more economical alternative to expensive private schools.
Do you think there is anything wrong with this . . in theory?
